What I do:

I weave together financial and legal advice to ensure my private clients’ wealth can be better preserved to maintain their lifestyle today, as well as being put to good use when they die.

Because ADL are experts at structuring wealth during clients’ lifetime, their best intentions come to fruition, families aren’t left fractured and, if they require one, their business succession plan can become a reality.

I’m also passionate about all people in society improving their financial literacy. They can then become more involved in the decision-making processes of wealth management, and understand how to maximise the value of their money.

How I do it:

I’m a chartered adviser and also an associate member of Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). This insight allows me to consider the nature, value and jurisdiction of my clients’ assets.

I listen carefully to their challenges and their wishes, discretely putting in place tailored asset protection strategies – and, if needed, tax-efficient and low-management cost investments – to preserve wealth and property across generations.

This could involve Small Self Administered Schemes, Self-Invested Personal Pensions, bonds or international investment tax wrappers.

Who I do it for:

I work with business owners, property developers, and non-UK domiciled/non-UK residents who have UK-based assets. My clients tend to have at least £500,000 and require strategic investment advice.

What I do:

I build financial plans which address a range of client concerns. These span disorganised finances; lack of a long-term wealth management strategy; and poor use of tax wrappers. It’s my job to simplify the complexity of financial planning, and this brings my clients peace of mind.

How I do it:

I understand the client’s present-day situation and how they would like to shape their future finances. The next step is to build a bespoke plan which structures their wealth, addressing short-term needs while also aligning with long-term goals. Sometimes, complementary advice is provided by in-house colleagues and our associate partners.

Cash-flow planning is a key aspect. It allows clients to visualise how the plan can help them meet their capital and income targets. Advice can be as simple as contributing to a Stocks & Shares ISA to more complicated strategies such as using a Defined Benefit Small Self-Administered Scheme or a Protective Cell Company.

With my knowledge of several foreign languages, I’m also aiming to play a big part in the international expansion of ADL.

Who I do it for:

All sorts of people: business owners, City professionals, medical experts and residential property landlords to name just a few. They’re characterised by having more than half a million pounds in investable wealth, a household income above £120k and a portfolio of five or more properties.

I also help accountants advise their clients on financial planning.
